Community Connections to Build a Brighter Future…

COVID-19 has forced our community and our world to pause from our regular schedules. During these unprecedented and uncertain times, we want to encourage you to take advantage of this pause to refocus, reconnect, and engage with your community.

For this purpose, CUED-In has started “CUED-In Connect” to help Career Seekers and Employers to stay digitally linked during this time of distance. Since we can no longer offer in-person sessions in the classroom, we will now be offering online informational sessions, starting April 13th.

Here’s how it works…

Employers can sign up for a time slot to speak to students here.

Students and career seekers in the community can browse available sessions and join any that are interesting to them here.

Schools and organizations can join the CUED-In Connect network (allowing them to facilitate sessions) here.

The sessions will be approximately thirty minutes long with an introduction from a local facilitator (CTE Director, Career Coach, CUED-In) staff member, a presentation by an employer, and a time of questions and answers.

Here’s why you should get involved with the CUED-In Connect…

With schools out of session for the remainder of the year and many businesses closed or running on a slower schedule, now is the time to make connections. Very little is risked by giving just thirty minutes of your time. But much could be gained:

Students and Career Seekers can research careers that interest them from the comfort of their homes.

Employers can maintain and strengthen connections with the next generation of their workforce. They can cast their net wider than ever before by offering an online informational session that anyone in the community can join.

Schools can bolster our community by helping to bridge the gap between education and business, while simultaneously offering something constructive for their students to do during this confusing time.

These sessions give the opportunity for all parties involved to connect with others in the community during this time of social distancing.
